Rescue Update
As of today another five chows have been taken into rescue and to the vet. All five dogs are female, needing to be spayed and have eyelid surgery for inverted eyelashes (entropion). This condition is not only painful to the animal as the eyelashes rub against the eye itself, but can ulcerate the eyeball, and lead to blindness. One of the older males rescued earlier this month is already showing vision loss due to living for 5 years with Entropion.
These chows deserve to have a home of their own, and to see properly.
There are only six (6) chows that have yet to be surrendered.
So far 17 of the dogs are in foster homes,3 have been adopted into their own 'forever' homes. 8 are in rescue, and we have the 5 being taken care of medically.
The Vet bill is still mounting, if you can help these chows please click the PayPal link.
